What is SimulationCraft WASM

SimulationCraft WASM is a free WoW DPS simulator that runs the full SimulationCraft engine in your browser via WebAssembly — the same engine that powers Raidbots and every serious theorycrafting site. Because the simulation runs on your own CPU, there is no queue, no account, and no premium tier: every feature is available to everyone, always.

Paste your /simc addon export, or import your character straight from the Armory with just a realm and name — no addon required. Then pick a mode: a quick DPS sim, the free Droptimizer to rank dungeon and raid loot, Gear Compare for bag and vault items, or Charts for bulk trinket comparisons across item levels.

FAQ

Is this a free alternative to Raidbots?

Yes. Both tools run the same SimulationCraft engine, so the numbers agree — the difference is where the sim runs. Raidbots queues your job on cloud servers and gates faster runs and some features behind Premium; here everything computes locally in your browser for free, with no queue and no account. See the full Raidbots alternative comparison.

Do I need the SimulationCraft addon to sim my character?

No. You can import your currently equipped gear straight from the Armory using just your region, realm, and character name. The addon export is still recommended when you want to sim bag, bank, or Great Vault items — the getting-started guide covers both ways.

How accurate are the results?

The engine is identical to what Raidbots and the desktop SimC app use, updated for the current patch. Precision is controlled by target error — lower means more iterations and a more stable number. What target error means.

Can I sim for Mythic+?

Yes — switch the fight style to DungeonSlice or DungeonRoute in the sim settings to model dungeon-style pulls instead of a single boss. The Mythic+ simming guide explains the options.

Is my character data uploaded anywhere?

No. The simulation runs entirely on your device — your profile never leaves the browser. Only the optional Armory import contacts a server, to fetch your public character data from Blizzard's API.

Which Great Vault item should I pick?

Sim it: export with the vault window open (so the choices are in your profile), then run Gear Compare to rank them against your equipped gear. Full walkthrough in the Great Vault guide.
